Asphalt paving is the foundation of what we do. New construction on driveways, lots, township roads, lease pads, yards, approaches, hot mix laid by machine, compacted by roller, finished by hand at the edges.
What "asphalt paving" actually means
Hot-mix asphalt arrives on site at roughly 150°C. We unload it into the paver hopper, the paver lays it in a continuous mat to the depth we spec'd for the job, and rollers compact it while it's still hot. The compacted mat cools, hardens, and is ready for foot traffic in about 24 hours and vehicle traffic in 48 to 72.
Where the work actually happens
Most people think the paving job is the visible part, mat going down. But the part that determines whether your asphalt lasts 5 years or 25 years is what happens under it: subgrade, granular base, drainage, compaction. We don't cut corners there. The asphalt is the easy part if the base is right.
Light vs. heavy applications
A residential driveway is "light", thinner mat, lighter compaction equipment, smaller crew. A truck pad or industrial yard is "heavy", thicker lifts, heavier base, denser mix, bigger equipment. We do both. Same crew, same standards, different specs.
